Everybody here at Allergy Test Australia loves a good picnic, especially when the sun is beaming down and the temperatures are soaring… and the goods news is that we can enjoy them even with an intolerance or an allergy. So, what could be better than enjoying the great outdoors whilst dining al fresco? Not much, and if you are well equipped, it can really lighten the mood!
Don’t nitpick, have a picnic
You don’t even have to try and be fancy with your meals – you do have the option to pack up a salad, along with some tasty snacks, as your allergy and intolerance tests will have already told you what you need to avoid. Imagine if you have lived all your life with an allergy and have always worried about what you are eating, but now you don’t have to. You have pinpointed exactly which items are a potential food allergen. However, we do recommend that you make your meals using homegrown ingredients.
Below, Allergy Test Australia are able to share our picnic-friendly ideas so that you can make the most of dining in the sunshine, even if you have an allergy or intolerance:
The Main Event
For the main meal, obviously depending on how many people are there, why not take a whole cooked chicken to supplement your meal? That is unless you have an intolerance or allergy to chicken, in which case you can swap it out. The good news is that if you have a roast dinner containing meat, you can have a healthy meal packed with protein, and add a load of sides bursting with the nutrients you need in your diet. Some people prefer adding flavourings. If you’re a vegetarian or a vegan, then why not try some pre-cooked vegetable skewers? They are lovely, especially when you are adding mushrooms, tomatoes and roasted peppers. Make sure you don’t include any of the foods which have been highlighted on your report in your picnic.
Snacks
For a healthy snacking option, why not make your own dip and enjoy with carrots, celery, peppers and radish to dip? We’ve recommended this before but we had to recommend it again. It is honestly the best thing and we really want you to enjoy your picnic! Get hold of some of your favourite foods and relax by ordering an allergy test today.
